Crisis Accommodation is made from recycled timber veneer panels, assembled into abstract shapes that evoke themes of belonging, ruin and memory. The work developed out of a series of photographs taken of abandoned houses in Melbourne, capturing their quiet decay and evocative beauty, not unlike the ruins of ancient times. It serves as a reflection on change, loss and resilience, creating a dialogue with the past and present, highlighting the potential for renewal.
